Bank of America

We have recently had a bad experience with Bank Of America. My husband is a seasonal construction worker(he goes back to work the end of this month), and this time of year my business slows down. Seeing in advance that we are about to go in to financial difficulty, we asked our lender (BofA) if we could put one month's payment on the end of our loan. They refused. Since we have perfect credit, have never missed a payment, or been late for that matter, they won't help us. Basically the long time reliable customers have no assistance, you must be late or missing payments in order for them to consider helping. They offered a refinance that would take 45 days before the paperwork even is looked at. We shared our concern that in 45 days our credit will be affected, this did not matter to them and when asked if they could block the credit report while we complete paperwork, though the Customer Service supervisor said it is possible, the Retention Dept wouldn't consider it. The other concern is that while our only alternative seems to be their refi offer, because of our excellent credit up until now, we will lose our 5.78 percentage rate if we accept this refinance which we don't want in the first place! I do have contact names of every department I asked for help. It just doesn't seem right that there isn't a better solution or better customer service for long time good customers. I am certain that there are others who have had this same situation and I am asking for you to help create awareness. Thank you for your consideration with this matter.
